Apartheid rears its ugly head once again in South Africa with “Catch a Fire”, and the neverending, never all that interesting Jigsaw returns once more to scare up money from dumb kids at the box office with “Saw III”. Plus, Brad Pitt gets indie in “Babel”, here’s your chance to talk to the big man in “Conversations with God”, and not one, but two Bush bashing flicks in “Death of a President” and “Shut Up and Sing”, the true story of how the Dixie Chicks went from country darlings to not-so-much-anymore country darlings.
Obviously this is a pretty lame weekend for movies (but a great weekend for anyone who hates Dubya!), but if you absolutely must get into the “spirit” of the month, i.e. Halloween, I suppose “Saw III” is your only choice. The movie trailer and stills below:
