Cedric the Entertainer is Blambo (that’s black Rambo to you kids) in “Code Name: The Cleaner”, Oscar winner Hilary Swank plays yet another white woman trying to save black kids yet again, Jessica Biel gets shot up in Iraq and returns home in “Home of the Brave”, and “Saw” clone “Thr3e”, well, clones “Saw” right down to the commercials. I mean, come on, they’re not even trying fer Christ. For the kiddies, there is something called “Happily N’Ever After”, a CGI animated movie about, “When the wizard in charge of Fairy Tale World goes on holiday, Cinderella’s wicked stepmother takes over the land.”
Obviously there is nothing even remotely worth going to the theaters for this weekend, although I suspect “Saw” wannabe “Thr3e” might get plenty of kids, and of course, “Code Name: The Cleaner” should clean up (pun intended) with the urban audience and white people who loves bad black comedians. But hey, at least it has Lucy Liu in it, right?
