Your Weekend Movie Preview: Eragon, Charlotte’s Web, The Pursuit of Happyness

Dragons ride again in the fantasy “Eragon”, which seems to be getting mediocre reviews so far; Dakota Fanning acts opposite a pig in the live-action version of “Charlotte’s Web”; and Will Smith can’t spell in his “The Pursuit of Happyness”. In limited release, you have Jude Law and Juliette Binoche getting it on on the side in “Breaking and Entering”, the latest from that “The English Patient” guy; George Clooney is “The Good German”; Beyonce and company invades our dreams as “Dreamgirls”; and Jessica Biel loses a hand in “Home of the Brave”.

Not exactly a “must see” among the throng, but families will no doubt make “Charlotte’s Web” a major hit this week. I would go for “Eragon”, but only because I really like swords and sandals movies, especially if they have big-budget dragons in it.
