Gerard Butler and Sam Worthington Up for a Little Hunterin’ and Killin’

Looks like the Antoine Fuqua-helmed sub military actioner “Hunter Killer” is on the fast track, with news that both Gerard Butler and Sam Worthington are in talks for the film’s two main male roles.

Butler is currently in negotiations to play Captain Joe Glass, the commander of the USS Toledo that Sam Worthington’s Navy SEALs commander is using to rescue the Russian President during a military coup in the Prez’s country.

Relativity Media’s “Hunter Killer” will be based on the novel “Firing Point” by George Wallace and Don Keith.

Butler recently starred in Relativity’s well-received “Machine Gun Preacher”, while the formerly prolific Worthington has “Texas Killing Fields” coming out and “Man on a Ledge” after that, not to mention “Clash of the Titans 2″ in the wings.
