Seriously, I think the Enterprise is a bit outmatched in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek Into Darkness”. I mean, take a look at the ship they’re going to be shooting it out with in the sequel (above). Yikes. Why does every ship the Enterprise go up against have to be bigger than God? I smell a pattern here.
Anyhoo. Also check out a new featurette for the film focusing on Chris Pine’s James T. Kirk. The “T” stands for Tiberius, but then again, I’m sure you know that. Who doesn’t know that? Everyone knows that. (Except for the ones who don’t know that, that is.)
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
“Star Trek Into Darkness” also stars Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Peter Weller, Bruce Greenwood, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Kirk does what Kirk do this May 17, 2013.
