For a guy whose name is so tied to the horror genre, it’s amazing how eclectic John Landis’ filmography really is. “The Blues Brothers” and “Animal House”, to name just two. Then again, he’s also the man who gave us “An American in Werewolf” and “The Twilight Zone” movies. And more recently, Landis directed the “Masters of Horror” episodes “Dear Woman” and “Family”, and is presenting the release of the slasher/comedy “Some Guy Who Kills People”, which arrives on DVD July 3rd, 2012 courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment. But instead of buying “Some Guy Who Kills People” or hunting down Landis’ two full-length “Masters of Horror” episodes, here’s your chance to win all three movies for doing absolutely nothing. How’s that for easy?
More about “Some Guy Who Kills People”:
Few films achieve the perfect balance of genuine sincerity, tastefully ironic humor, and the heightened level of blood and guts expected from horror movies. On July 3rd, Anchor Bay Entertainment brings you one of these rare gems with SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE. Executive produced by famed director John Landis, SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE boasts impeccable performances by Kevin Corrigan, Barry Bostwick, Karen Black, Leo Fitzpatrick, Ariel Gade and Lucy Davis.
At first glance, Ken Boyd (Corrigan) may seem like an average comic enthusiast, living with his mother and working to make ends meet as an underpaid, underappreciated ice cream parlor attendant. But Ken has a dirty little secret: he fantasizes about killing people. After being released from a stay in the loony bin for severe mental trauma suffered when he was beaten and tortured by a gang of high school thugs, Ken’s repressed anger suddenly reaches a boiling point. He begins to hunt down his tormentors, one by one, and exacts his bloody revenge – all the while forming an unconventional bond with his estranged 11-year old daughter (Gade).
