So according to this helpful chart (above) from the blokes at Empire Magazine (did I mention that Empire seems to have the market cornered on “Godzilla”-related exclusive coverages?), Gareth Edwards’ Big G is about 100 meters tall — that’s just over the size of a football field to you non-meter people out there — which is actually a bit smaller than I thought. The posters, and even the trailer for the film, made him look at least 200 meters. Weird.
Anyways, check out six new images (including the scale above) from the latest issue of Empire Magazine, featuring stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Johnson, along with director Edwards on set, and some glimpses of Godzilla stomping around.
An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
Starring Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, and Richard T. Jones.
Run, kids, run this May 16th.
