Some may question the wisdom of a Wall Street sequel, but there may never be a more timely circumstance now than since the entire 80s era of “greed is good”. Actually, that appears to be Oliver Stone’s intention. What better way to reinvent the characters than in the current anti-Wall Street fervor? I’m not usually one for sequels, but this is also a timeless kind of story, one that can be retold from different angles.
You can see one of them below, but Splash News has a whole host of set pictures featuring Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf in New York, prepping for their roles as Wall Street fat cats by eating the New York delicacies of hot dogs and pretzels. Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps is scheduled to be released April 23rd, 2010.
