no offense against anyone but shawn ashmore was the man who played ICEMAN,not his twin brother aaron. further more i think that ryan gosling could actually pull it off as HAL JORDAN. what i would like to know is who will be playing CAROL FERRIS????

i agree with every one….i love the character GL but if i went to the movie and saw jack black playing the character…i mean he doesnt even look like any of the green lanterns last time i checked they were all tall and skinny not short and fat….and the only character with any sense of humor is kyle rainer which in my opinion is the best green lantern but w/e how kr got his ring would be an awsome movie for later but it would be awsome if you read the book on how he got his powers its awsome in detail

Thank God for this. Green Lantern deserves to be done right, and should receive the same sort of attention “Iron Man,” a basically third-tier character received.

This is the greatest news from DC comics I think that Green Lantern is the 3rd best superhero of all of DC comics behind Superman and Batman of course and im so glad that Jack Black is not going to be in it I meen that was the stupidest idea i’ve ever heard,now for who the part of Green Lantern should go to first choice should be Milo Ventimiglia of Heroes although he’ll have to die his hair,second choice Aron Ashmore of Smallville I know he was Ice-Man in X-Men but it was a small roll of sorts,third should be Thomas Jane I know he was the Punisher but thats over and dun with since he wont be back for the new Punisher,now the thrid ones a little iffy but its just my thoughts,now for the budget it should be right in the 100 to 150 million dollar mark because his ring is really cool and if it is’nt showcased as powerful nobody will like it,now for the villian it should be Sinestro he should be after the ring,but he should be siacodic not campy theres my thoughts let me know what you all think,CANT WHAT TO SEE GREEN LANTERN TO COME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would argue that Jack Black is never funny, unless he’s trying to be serious, like in King Kong.
