You can’t have a “Green Lantern” movie without Kilowog. And as it turns out, you won’t. Check out your first look at (an all-CG?) Kilowog, Hal Jordan’s intergalactic GL drill instructor from the upcoming Martin Campbell movie. The film has since wrapped production and will now begin the long process of post-production, which should be a bear given that probably half (if not more) of the film is computer generated ala “Star Wars” and its ilk. In other “Green Lantern” news, Warner Bros., feeling a tad optimistic about the prospects of their fledging franchise-in-the-making, has already hired screenwriter Michael Goldenberg to get to work writing “Green Lantern 2”. Goldenberg, who counts “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” among his credits, will be working off a treatment by original “Green Lantern” writers Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim.
“Green Lantern” stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, Jon Tenney, Tim Robbins, Angela Bassett, Taika Cohen, Jeff Wolfe, and is directed by Martin Campbell.
