A Couple of Concept Artwork for John Carter of Mars


Get two looks at the Mars landscape of “John Carter” in Disney’s upcoming movie courtesy of a couple of concept artwork (via the LATimes). The article also has an interview with the film’s director, Andrew Stanton, making his first live-action feature film debut on the movie after “A Bug’s Life”, “Finding Nemo”, and “WALL-E”.

The film is currently in post-production, and Stanton also confirms that “John Carter”, along with Disney, won’t be attending this year’s Comic Con.

The film stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Hayden Church, and Willem Dafoe.

John Carter travels to Mars March 9, 2012.

    Pretty cool! Still have no idea what the movie is about, but pretty cool.

    the movie is about a confederate soldier who is chase by indians(although this is shown in another comic book -marvel comics) who is later tranported to the planet mars. (also this movie has been made already, sraight to dvd-called princess of mars,starring antonio sabato jr.). you can go to your local comic book store and check out the new john carter comic book called warlord of mars.
