Guillaume Ivernel Gives Us Another Taste of His Animated Flick Soul Man

Man, this movie looks badass. And when I say badass, I mean badass. An animated sci-fi/action flick featuring a curvy heroine straight of the 70′s sounds like a hell of a good time to me. In fact, this sort of thing needs to happen more often. Sadly, according to the boys and girls over at Twitch, the film has yet to be completed, which means a release date probably isn’t in the cards quite yet. However, to us salivating for more, director Guillaume Ivernel has given us a second trailer, with an extended clip to follow shortly. When that happens, I’ll let you know.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

This does look amazingly fun and awesome. And I agree the genre mashup is great, part of the reason I love Ago Samurai. I think they should get Pam Grier to voice her and if not Travel Thoms (“Death Proof,” “Cold Case” tv).
