Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla Crime Caper

Written by Nix | May 14th, 2007 | 0 Comments |

Guy Ritchie’s last two movies never made it to theaters in the U.S., with 2002’s “Swept Away” (starring his wife Madonna) and 2005’s “Revolver” both landing with thuds on both sides of the Pond. Ritchie’s latest movie is a crime caper called “RocknRolla”, imagined as a return to the “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels” days for Ritchie. The film is supposed to be a smaller budgeted movie, and probably won’t have the wild, “what the hell is going on” excesses of Ritchie’s “Revolver”, a film that I kinda liked, and kinda hated, but was mostly just confused by. Not confused in the, “Gee, I don’t understand this” variety, but more in the, “Gee, this is really stupid” variety.

Hopefully Ritchie will leave the Misses at home this time. Casting for “RocknRolla” is under way with Summer as a potential start-up date.
