Picking up right where the first film left off, Laurie is taken to the hospital after supposedly killing the man who was responsible for the deaths of several people in the town of Haddonfield, Illinois. However, her stay at Haddonfield General becomes very brief when a very much alive Michael appears once more, brutally murdering everyone in the hospital to find his sister. Michael disappears, and Laurie survives the infamous Halloween massacre, but is still haunted by it years later. Laurie struggles to come to terms with her dark past, or at least forget it. But the supposedly dead Michael Myers has other plans, and as the anniversary of his massacre approaches, he returns to Haddonfield once more, with a family reunion planned that Laurie will never forget.

My all time favorite horror movie was and is Halloween…..I love Micheal Meyers and what Zombie did was pervert the original to reflect his own white trash mentality. It is nothing more then an abomination, twisted sick-a-fent wanna be attempt at remaking one of the BEST horror films ever! People in movies needs to start thinking up thier own movies and STOP screwing up the originals!!! as a foot note….I loved Zombies own works….he just should have stayed away from Micheal!!!

When I first heard about the film, i was really happy to see it. When the trailer came out, I was SO pumped up for it. MICHAEL’S ROCKIN’ THE HOMELESS LOOK! And he’s lifting cars up, which will be the most awesome thing EVER! but the biggest surprise to me is that Rob casted the guy who plays the grandfather on GROUNDED FOR LIFE as a trucker and he gets killed quick. I GIVE THIS MOVIE THE SAME AS I WOULD THE LAST ONE: FIVE FLAMEZILLAS.

I grew up on horror movies. As far as the halloween movies are concered pt 2 was my favorite of all of them. I just saw Zombie’s version tonight and going into it i had alot of high expectations, because in my mind, these are the classics that gave the genre something new and scary. I liked H2, but heres the deal. The first one Rob Zombie did had alot more complexity as far as Michael’s state of mind. You really got to get inside the head of a deranged boy and see through his eyes a bit and at times feel sorry for him and his family life. This time he’s much more of a nomad with not alot of depth. I dont mean we should have seen alot more of hospital segments that the first one missed, but something that gave you that relatable human characteristic. Thats what made him so scary i think in Robs first one is that human side of him just enraged seems more natural. H2 kinda has that same “feeling sorry” emotion directed towards laurie and how she’s handlig the post traumatic stress. The problem with this one is she isnt doing much to help her situation, or her mental state for that matter, other than seeing a would be phsychiatrist, who seems to be more like a friend than a doctor. That just made it a little hard to sympathize, but Scout taylor compton was great throughout. The only other thing i didnt like was that they werent able to get the same kid who played young michael in the first one. The replacement looks alot like him, but doesnt have those dark eyes, which makes him seem harmless. Bummer. Theres another part i was upset about but only cuz i like the character… but if you are reading this i dont want to spoil anything :) All around tho the movie was pretty awesome! The kills were pretty brutal, and it was a nice change for a sequel. And i’m damn glad the trailer didnt ruin anything… which i must say by watching the trailer you assume it’s going to be like the hospital scenario in the original part 2… IT’S NOT!!! And it’s awesome that the story goes somewhere completely different! And lots of praise to Rob Zombie for respecting classic movies and making them as fun as they used to be before the pop culture turned a genre into a amuzement park. If you were debating on watching the new Halloween 2, stop thinking and go see it! Good stuff!
