Halloween Jumps into the 3D Pool with Halloween 3 in 3D — sans Rob Zombie
Halloween 3 3D (Remake) Movie, Horror Movie News — By Nix on August 30, 2009
Apparently Bob Weinstein of the Weinstein Company, who recently released Rob Zombie’s “H2: Halloween” sequel to the tune of $17 million in its first week (jump over here for all the gory details) saw how well “Final Destination 4″ did with its 3D gimmick and thought to himself, “Shoot, we can do that!” And so, the big Bob has quickly announced yet another sequel to the Zombie “Halloween” reboot, this time in 3D, with plans to release it into theaters (and hopefully to a still enthusiastic 3D audience) by 2010. And oh yeah, chances are Rob Zombie won’t be back to direct.
According to Weinstein via the AP, the third entry in the reboot franchise will pick up where the second one left off, and will use the new version of the mythology that’s been established by Zombie as a jump-off point. Though Weinstein also adds that “H3″ will “give a new twist on slasher Myers”, whatever that means. Didn’t Zombie already do that? How many twists on one psycho can one franchise take? I guess we’ll find out in 2010.
With Zombie off to write and then direct his “Blob” remake (which he says he plans to write while on tour this and into next year), there is probably no chance he’ll direct a 3D “Halloween 3″, and from all appearances, it doesn’t appear as if he’s interested in it. Then again, he said the same thing about “H2″, and he came back for that, so who knows.

THAT’S GOOD THAT HE AINT COMING BACK I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK IS A HORSE DOING IN THE MOVIE EVERYTHING ELSE WAS OKAY AS A BIG HALLOWEEN FAN THIS MOVIE COULD OF DONE BETTER THE GORY WAS VERY NICE THOUGH JUST DONT SHOW HIS FACE NO MORE KEEP THE MASK ON
this movie was stupid , part 2 i mean. & why would you remake the blob?
Part 2 was good. The horse was quite stupid and shame Loomis didn;t have a big part like in every other one. But if a third is made I think Michael Bay should be involved since he did such a good job on The Texas Chainsaw massacre, Friday the 13th, and the hitcher.
You guys that didn’t like Halloween II because of the White Horse and Chase Wright Vanek replacing young Michael, then there’s seriously something wrong with you. I mean c’mon, in my opinion Rob’s uniquely fresh taste on the Halloween franchise was amazing and riveting. Halloween let-alone was good then he blessed us with Halloween II. Don’t you people, (especially fans) understand what your saying?! If it wasn’t for Rob we wouldn’t have any new Halloween material to watch and enjoy. Rob opened the door to posibilities in this franchise! I mean seriously, Halloween II was supernatural and psychological, the only other Halloween to really do something along the lines of that at all was Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and that played out well, hell it’s my favorte Halloween sequel! But give Rob a chance, there’s a whole new world that was just opened for our enjoyment in what was becoming a dying franchise. His vision is the most superb i have seen yet! So go Rob Zombie and kudos to you man, oh and by the way, ROB’S HALLOWEEN MOVIES ARE NOT REMAKES!!!! THEY ARE REBOOTS AND HALLOWEEN II IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FILM!!! GOD!!! Ahhhh woooh i’m fine now. GO ROB! LONG LIVE HALLOWEEN
And i am a fan of the original franchise than the newer one. I have every Halloween made and even the documentaries, so i am a die hard fan so don’t get me wrong thinking i only like the new gory grossout stuff, eve nthough the new Halloween’s are magnificent
