Halloween Producers Get Hurt

I love the premise of the movie “Hurt”, which will be coming to a theater near you care of producers Malek Akkad, Justin Hogan and Marc Lazard, who previous picture was the Rod Zombie “Halloween” redo. While I was not a fan of that totally gratuitous remake, the premise of “Hurt” sounds pretty interesting: “Project revolves around a group of estranged best friends who are reunited after another commits suicide. Gathering ends up becoming a bloodbath because meeting was set up as retribution.”

“Hurt” is the first script sale for Grieco and Drongowski. It’s also set to become the first feature for [Adamn] Finberg, a graduate of the American Film Institute’s directing program.

Sounds like a killer idea for a movie. At least it’s something I could get into on a bored Sunday.
