He…is…Hercules! And Here’s His First Trailer

So yeah, his name’s Hercules, and in Brett Ratner’s “Hercules,” here’s uber pissed off. And muscular. And going around fighting lions (then wearing them!) and dudes with painted faces and three-headed dogs, cause nothing says manly man like fighting a three-headed dog. Apparently this Hercules doesn’t have a magical whip that he can use on his enemies like the Kellen Lutz version. Too bad, because a magical whip would be awesome against a three-headed dog, don’t you think?

Anyhoos. Check out the first trailer for “Hercules,” starring Dwayne Johnson as the musclebound dude…what’s his name again?

Centuries ago, a tormented Demigod walked the earth: Hercules was the powerful son of the god king Zeus. For this, he received nothing but suffering his entire life. After twelve arduous labors and the loss of his family, the dark and world-weary soul turned his back on the gods, finding his only solace in combat. Over the years, he warmed to the company of six similar friends, their only bond being their love of fighting and presence of death. These men and women never questioned where they would go to fight or why or whom, just how much they would be paid – until the King of Thrace hired them to train his men to become the greatest army of all time. It was time for the group of lost souls to finally have their eyes opened to how far they have fallen, when they must train an army to become as ruthless and bloodthirsty as their reputation has become.

Starring Dwayne Johnson, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Aksel Hennie, and Reece Ritchie.

Get to know his name this July 25th.

NICE!! There’s a very liberal usage of the Greek myths in here. The 12 Labors (The Nemeian Lion, which he wears throughout the film, just like the myths) Cerberus and more.
Ratner was the only issue I had with the film and I haven’t hated all of his work (but haven’t liked enough) so this trailer definitely helped some fears. If anything I will be putting this alongside if not above the Clash of the Titans remake and Wrath of the Titans.
Like “Immortals” (also with Lutz) the other Hercules didn’t stand a chance against it’s competition because it just tried to be too safe wth it’s story.

I can’t wait to see this. WE Haven’t seen a Hercules like this since Lou Ferrigno. I watched that Kellan Lutz travesty, the king played by my boy Scott Adkins was bigger than Kellan Lutz who portrayed Hercules…C’mon son get the fu$@ outt here wit that bullshyt.

SCOTT ADKINS FOR THE WIN!!! I was so mad he was in that one and not this, same for Liam Spartacus 2.0 McIntyre. I am really looking forward to this.
