Look at the amazing graphics and detail with movies like Batman Begins, 300, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Transformers and Watchmen (To name a few). They are amazing because they are done as they were intended. You can't take a movie, set in an entirely different environment and put them on Earth. It's a concept the first try, in 1987, didn't even take into consideration. Due to the nature of the alternate universe, it is not really so difficult to expect a totally different planet as the setting. People don't want He-man on Earth, they want him to be free of all knowledge of this planet, it gives him no boundaries and there are so many opportunities for the inclusion of all aspects of, "WHAT SHOULD BE IN A MOVIE LIKE THIS." Dealing with the details of each dark character, battle sequences, and MAD MAX-type crude technology is essential. There should be no fluf, no corny jokes, and no Earth! The Matrix created such a universe, wrapped outside and intertwined with this one. It's about the only movie I've seen that makes that work. If they want to make a kids movie of it, or a cheezy disney movie, don't even tell the fans because they want what they've been set up for, an event that brings the story full circle. If they want to make money and a good movie, they have to check back to the past 20 years of movie sales for the 1987 release, it will be easy because people don't really even remember it, BECAUSE IT FLOPPED! The same concept as the movie ENCHANTED will not work. It they do this we can expect He-Man to shake hands with Arnold (As himself or CONAN) and OBAMA which NO ONE WANTS TO SEE! I had heard this was scrapped the first time(Thank God) Due to Crappy Plot synopsis, I was happy and I started writing the script as a trilogy with option to start a second Generation. When I heard about this new script being written I still think they just don't get it... I am not looking forward to this movie, I was the biggest fan as a child having the entire toy line and all the comics and mini comics and books and records. A fan should write this to make it A. Less Corny and B. make it believable and valid in todays market, when it flops they blame it on the line when in fact it is the crappy story and horific presentation. That is my rant about this! Ok so I am not even getting excited about this!
