I'd also like to point out that Achilles doesn't drag PARIS around the walls of Troy, but King Priam's oldest son, HECTOR. I am one of those obsessed about the Trojan War and I found this miniseries to be quite enjoyable. I am actually quite sad that the gods were left out of it expect for near the beginning and in slight references. Still, you get more a sense of Helen in this that you don't in any other retelling of Troy.

The review was altogether very negative and seemed to be not only lashing out at the movie makers, but those who "spend their bored days pouring over Homer's epics."
Excuse me for being literate.
We must take these movies with a grain of salt, movies like "Troy" or "300," and remember that their sole purpose is not to adhere to the facts, but to make it cinematically entertaining.
Also, on another note about 'mechanics,' the writer 'Nix' does not even bother to learn the director's gender (assuming she is a girl, which i find quite sexist), and makes frequent grammatical errors. For example, "Helen...and Paris lock eyes...and realizes" (it's supposed to be 'realize'), etc.
Need help with grammar? Try reading more. Perhaps some...Homer. Or you could try taking Greek or Latin (that's what I spend my 'bored days' doing).
