New Hellboy 2 Clip with Johann Kraus, New Images

Guillermo del Toro’s “Hellboy 2: The Golden Army” looks like one of those movies that knows exactly where it’s going, and what it wants to be, and exceeds. The question is, will audiences want to go along with it? I don’t know. The original didn’t exactly blow the doors off the box office, and the sequel sure looks bigger and more expensive. Or maybe Del Toro just knows how to stretch a butcher. In any case, here’s your first video look at the character Johann Kraus from the movie. Our first look and the characters, apparently. Hellboy ain’t too happy with Johann’s German-ish qualifications, it would appear.

The mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, so as Hellboy and his team returns they must save the world from the rebellious creatures. Now, as the creatures who inhabit the spiritual realm gear-up for an all out attack on the human plane, the only one capable of saving the Earth is a tough-talking hellspawn rejected by both worlds.

Starring Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Jeffrey Tambor, Doug Jones, Ladislav Beran, and directed by Guillermo del Toro.

It gets hellish July 11.

The first one was pretty good, but the end fight was such a let-down. The monster was suppose to be badass since the Nazi spent so much effort trying to unleash it, and it ended up getting dispatched by hellboy in just a few short minutes. I always wondered if they ran out of budget on that scene.
