Hellboy II Makes the Wacky Cross-Over Marketing Rounds

July 11 is fast approaching, which means the second unleashing of Hellboy and crew onto a suspecting populace (there may be one or two who don’t know he’s coming). To get ready for that monumental date (well, if you’re dying to see the movie, it’s pretty monumental, otherwise it’s just that date that means it’s 7 days until “The Dark Knight”), the Hellboy crew have done some wacky marketing cross-overs, first by putting Hellboy (yes, Ron Perlman in costume) inside the Actor’s Studio with the bald dude with glasses, and then on a couch with the guy from NBC’s Chuck.
Needless to say, hilarity ensues. Sort of.
Hellboy II opens July 11.

There’s a straight forwardness to Hellboy that I think is really refreshing. I said it about the first one as well. The character’s humour is so simple and dead pan.
