Heroes’ Masi Oka Teleports to Hawaii Five-O

With NBC’s “Heroes” dead and buried in TVland, the show’s cast are all trying to find work elsewhere. Ali Larter has already found work on the big screen, and Mohinder Suresh (aka Sendhil Ramamurthy) has landed on his feet over at the USA Network’s new spy show “Covert Affairs”. Now you can add the time-traveling Hiro Nakamura (aka Masi Oka) to the new cast of the revamped “Hawaii Five-O” over at CBS.

TVGuide has Oka joining the show in its fourth episode as the county coroner. It will be a recurring role, given that “Hawaii Five-0” is a crime show, and you expect plenty of dead bodies to drop in crime shows, even ones set on the sunny and bikini-clad beaches of Hawaii.

Also joining “Hawaii Five-0” is comedian D.L. Hughley, who will be stretching his acting muscles in the third episode as Skeet, an “inmate serving a double life sentence who challenges McGarrett to a game of hoops.”

The new “Hawaii Five-0” is fronted by Alex O’Loughlin as Steve McGarrett, Scott Caan as his sidekick Det. Danny Williams, and Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park as cop siblings Det. Chin Ho Kelly and Kona Kalakaua, respectively. The cast below.
