He’s Barack Obama, and He Approves of Red 2 in New TV Spot

Red 2 (2013) Movie Poster

He’s Barack Obama, and he approves of this new TV spot for “Red 2″. Well, not really, but wouldn’t it be a gas if a sitting President of the United States really did come out to do a commercial for a movie? I know Bill Clinton might have. I wonder why no one ever asked him?

Anyhoo. Check out a new, cheeky TV spot for “Red 2″ that incorporates a speech the Prez gave to justify the real-life NSA spying on Americans and everyone else with a phone, with footage from the upcoming movie by Dean Parisot. Plus, a helpful infographic for those of you who enjoy such things.

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing, next-generation lethal device that can change the balance of world power. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the technologically advanced super weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

Starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker with Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, Brian Cox, and Neal McDonough.

“Red 2″ keeps us safe this July 19th.

And here’s a new “Red 2″ infographic showing what it means to be a RED agent in today’s socially connected world.
