Hey, Creep, it’s the First Poster for the RoboCop Reboot

Sony has released the first poster for José Padilha’s rebooted “RoboCop”. Check it out below.

And oh, in case you missed the first trailer, you can view it above. See? One stop service, baby!

In the film, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

The reboot stars “The Killing’s” Joel Kinnaman as the new face of law-enforcement, with Abbie Cornish as his wife, along with Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, and Jennifer Ehle.

Robo declares law everywhere next year, February 7, 2014.

I didn’t like it at first either but reading the idea behind it, I like it and it makes sense. They wanted more than his face to represent his humanity, they wanted the human contact still there and plus it makes it easier to fire. i’m sure he’ll be a righty despite the picture.

Next poster will probably have “Dead or Alive, you’re coming with me” on it or the Prime Directives.
