Hey, Wanna See What the Cenobites Will Look Like in the Hellraiser Remake?

Cenobite Character Designs in the Hellraiser Remake

I’m talking about the remake here, not that unGodly Godawful looking “Hellraiser: Revelations” mess that the studio made on a quick weekend just to hold onto the rights to the franchise. This is the big-budget studio remake from director Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer, the boys behind “Drive Angry 3D”. (Okay, so maybe mentioning “Drive Angry 3D” probably isn’t the best way to go…)

Regardless, here are your first looks at what the Cenobites, the villains of the “Hellraiser”-verse, will look like in the upcoming remake. As you may or may not have figured it out by now, these concept artwork are courtesy of STYD, and were whipped up by one Gary J. Tunnicliffe of Two Hours in the Dark.

Of course, just because this is what Pinhead and his Cenobite buddies are supposed to look like, doesn’t mean they will end up looking like this, because also according to STYD, the remake seems to have hit a road bump and may be delayed once again, possibly resurfacing at a later date without Lussier and Farmer attached. This wouldn’t be the first time the remake has lost a director, so no surprise there.

Hmm, don’t know if like. I think I’m just so used to the originals that any alterations are a step in the wrong direction for me.

The “Pinhead” one looks like David Bowie and the dreadlocked gal looks like it is from “Nightbreed.” When will the Hollywood era of awful remakes end and somebody doing something original for a change?

You can only do original so many times before nothing’s original anymore. Seriously, some of the most “original” ideas are often either not completely original or they’re just stitched together from pieces of other things…..

They each look like very generic video game villains. Lame.

Poor IMO, the originals are best, they gotta try harder to surpass them
