Chernobyl Diaries (2012) Movie Image

The Oren Peli-produced “Chernobyl Diaries” opens May 25, 2012, and Warner Bros. is certainly going all out to advertise it. To help with that, here is a new batch of images from the upcoming horror movie. It’s not Found Footage, which is great, but it does have Found Footage elements, which is not so great. But hey, I guess I should be happy Peli seems to be moving away from the genre he helped to bring forth … and stomp into the ground like so much mushy mush.

“Chernobyl Diaries” is about a group of six young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an “extreme tour” guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone…

Starring no one you’ve ever heard of, including Jesse McCartney, Jonathan Sadowski, Olivia Dudley, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Nathan Phillips, Pasha D. Lychnikoff, Devin Kelley, Alex Feldman, Dimitri Diatchenko, and Kristof Konrad.

Four of the new images below. See the rest in our “Chernobyl Diaries” preview page.

Fuck you….No one you’ve ever heard of? I’ve never heard of you, fucko. Do you goddamn homework before you say such stupid shit.

Dude. Just because he hasn’t heard of you doesn’t mean he’s dissing you. I’m sure you’re a good actor and all but the fact is you’re ot a household name. No one is taking away from your work. Hell the only name on the list I recognize is Jesse McCartney. That said after looking you up, I still don’t really know who you are. You’re listed as mostly background parts and voice overs for games. That’s not a bad thing at all, as I’m a fan of lots of voice actors, and chracter actors. He’s giving the movie props, and getting it out there more. So calm down, chill out, and keep up the good work.

        He mad.

I agree, that was an ignorant remark. They may not be A-list celebrities (yet), but to claim no one ever heard of them is amateurish and uninformed. The movie itself looks great, and I was hoping to read a critical review/preview ahead of its release. Instead, I feel dumber for reading this crap which lacks any substance or creative insight.
