The execution went totally wrong. The firt point is they thru the Highlander TV show format out the window. Why is that bad? When the show hit the Darius episodes with the Watchers they finally hit their mark with the magic formula that made Highlander work. Everyone grew to know it and it was a great fit. For this movie the got rid of the formula. Even on a budget they could have made a few tweaks and made a more structured story for the fans stepping in a new directions. I think they could have done a great movie with the story if they followed the Highlander formula (flashbacks, backstory, cool transitions, etc.) My question is was The Source on Sci-Fi Channel the first in the intended Trilogy or was it the complete trilogy hacked down to one 90 minute movie.
