Check it out, kids, another goodie out of the Wonder Con gathering over there yonder in the Bay area or thereabouts. By now I hope you’ve already seen the groovy new “Prometheus” trailer, now here’s the second trailer for Timur Bekmambetov’s “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”. The new trailer gets into the nitty gritty of our Prez’s secret past, his anti-vampire stance, and why, when you come right down to it, vampires are like Rebs — they’re just no damn good for a growing country.

The film explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.

Starring Benjamin Walker, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Alan Tudyk, Jimmi Simpson, Jaqueline Fleming, and Erin Wasson.

Abe chops down more than just trees June 22, 2012.

Something tells me Johnny Cash would appreciate his words being spliced up that way just so that they work in a movie trailer – and perhaps bigger than that, the original quote is from the bible. Why not simply record your own voice-over rather? By cutting it up so much it loses any credibility any ways.
With regards to the movie, while the concept is original, the movie looks pretty generic – I’ll probably be renting this one…
