Thomas Dekker from the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles goes from fighting cyborgs from the future to battling evil curses in director Phedon Papamichael’s horror movie “From Within”. The film will be released on DVD in the UK from E1 Entertainment on 24th August 2009. It’s already available in the States through the After Dark Horrorfest label.
Written by Brad Keene (The Grudge 3) and directed by Phedon Papamichael (better known as the Director of Photography on numerous Hollywood hits including Oliver Stone’s W., 3:10 To Yuma, Walk The Line and Sideways), the gripping supernatural shocker, FROM WITHIN, stars Thomas Dekker (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles; Laid To Rest), Elizabeth Rice (Mad Men), Adam Goldberg (Zodiac; Two Days In Paris) and Laura Allen (Dirt; The 4400) in a darkly disturbing tale guaranteed to put the frighteners on fans of recent horror blockbusters such as the Final Destination trilogy, One Missed Call and The Grudge and The Ring series of movies.
A rash of suicides hits the small community of Grovetown, causing fear and panic among its residents. As those around 18-year-old Lindsay (Elizabeth Rice) continue to die gruesome deaths, she begins to distrust everyone including those closest to her and, following a spate of inexplicable events and apparitions, she becomes convinced that she will become the next victim.
Believing the cause of the deaths to be something more evil and sinister than a series of coincidental suicides, she confides in local outcast, Aiden (Thomas Dekker), whose mother died in mysterious circumstances several years earlier and whose brother was the first victim to fall foul of the town’s latest horror.
Co-starring Kelly Blatz (Prom Night), Rumer Willis (Medium; The House Bunny), Steven Culp (Desperate Housewives) and the Babin twins, Amanda and Michelle, from America’s Top Model, FROM WITHIN is a truly terrifying modern-day shocker that piles on the tension and “murderously good horror set pieces” (Kim Newman) and “scores top marks for gore” (DVD World) right up until its unexpected twist and spine-chilling finale.
Starring Elizabeth Rice, Thomas Dekker, Kelly Blatz, Laura Allen, Adam Goldberg, Margo Harshman, Rumer Willis, Brittany Robertson, Steven Culp, Jared Harris, and directed by Phedon Papamichael.
