How Much Does it Actually Cost to Become Batman and Iron Man? A Lot, as It Turns Out.

One of these days, you may grow tired of your petty existence, your lousy job, that nagging girlfriend, and decide to chuck it all and go out and fight crime. Maybe you’re thinking about emulating your favorite superhero, D.C.’s Batman? Or Marvel’s own Iron Man?

Well just in case you were considering those two guys, here’s what it would cost you, in real-world dollars, to suit up as the Dark Knight or step into Iron Man’s bootjets. As it turns out, that cost is a lot. Sheesh. Who knew it would be so expensive to become a superhero? (Disclaimer: I have absolutely no idea if these “costs” are real or even real-ish, so do try not to nitpick them too much. That would just ruin the whole point of these infographics, am I right?)

(By the way, this is why I’d just be the Punisher. What does the Punisher need? A beat-up van, guns, and ammo. Maybe a nerd who can do nerdy stuff, and there’s plenty of those lying around.)

I’d rather be Daredevil. That’s cheaper than even The Punisher :P

Yes, but then you’d need to run headlong into a vat of radiation and hope you don’t die from radiation poisoning. I’d rather just buy a van.
