Hugh Jackman Officially Confirmed for X-Men: Days of Future Past

After rumored to be in talks to return as Wolverine in “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, it appears Hugh Jackman has now officially signed on the dotted line.

“X:DOFP” director Bryan Singer (replacing Matthew Vaughn on the series) announced the news himself on Twitter:

“X-Men: Days of Future Past”, the sequel to 2011′s “X-Men: First Class” finds the young X-Men team and their foe Magneto having to deal with a gloomy future where it’s not great to be a mutant.

James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicolas Hoult are all expected back. They will be joined by Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. And now, Hugh Jackman.

James Marsden and Halle Berry are also in talks to return as Cyclops and Storm, respectively.

      It’s funny because Jackman is actually in better shape now than he was in the first X-Men movie, twelve years later. I can’t wait to see this. I hope we see Magneto completely eviscerate a Sentinel!

          Absolutely! It would be great to see Fassbender and Mckellan back to back shredding the Sentinel hordes!!!

            It would be like the Danger Room scene on a much larger scale. We don’t know everyone who’ll be in the cast except Jackman, MacAvoy, Stewart, Fassbender, McKellan, Hoult and Lawrence. I can oly assume that Halle Berry, Famke Jansen and James Marsden will be reprising their roles too since they’re in negotiations. There was also rumors of Azazel and Nightcrawler returning for this one as well. My dream line up would also include Iceman, Rogue, Juggernaut, Havok, Kitty (she’s a must!), Colossus, Angel (hopefully becoming Archangel at some point) and maybe Pyro and Mysique. With that, here we go!

            A scene similar to the team scene in The Avengers with the rotating camera shot would be epic as the two Erik’s destroy Sentinels left and right! Then a continuous shot of Jean propelling Wolverine, Colossus, Juggernaut and Beast with her telekenesis at some to slice, smash and rip their heads off! Cyclops and Havok shooting optic and cosmic blasts through two more. The one that Havok hit explodes, then through the hole that Cyclops’ blast left we see Myustique with a huge gun and Storm with her lightning shooting two more! Collossus lands next to Rogue and she absorbs his powers Angel flies by and picks her up they pass Banshee then he hurls her at one, she transforms into metal form and crushes ones face. Close up on Banshee as he delivers a sonic scream that shreds one in half! Iceman in full on ice mode slides through the wreckage under falling sentinels and around shooting robotic parts on his ice slide with Pyro sliding behind firing fire balls at some.Now THAT would be bad ass!!!

            Almost forgot about Nightcrawler and Azazel. They could transport Kitty and the two Xavier’s to safety inside a nearby bunker where they meet up with the Bishop, Forge, Cable and Hope of the XSE!
