Another I Am Legend Poster

By Tom | June 7, 2007 (3:49 am)

I Am Legend posterNothing beats a good apocalyptic adventure, and Will Smith in I Am Legend (December, 2007) should certainly be a crowd-pleaser. I’m not ashamed to admit that I dug the hell out of The Omega Man (if anyone could survive the end of mankind, I think it’s 1970s Charlton Heston), and I regard Richard Matheson’s book as a great read, so my expectations for Francis Lawrence’s adaptation are fairly high. After all how can you go wrong with a sci-fi tale about one man against the rest of the world…who happen to be vampires.

So despite not having a great deal of information on the film yet (except one interesting fact that a scene set on the Brooklyn Bridge cost $5 million alone to shoot according to The Hollywood Reporter), the hype has been building.

Now Comingsoon.net has a first look at the new poster, and I have to say I’m not overly impressed. Sure it’s just a teaser, but big letters and a small Will Smith does not make a great poster. Though according to the same article (which you can find here) the new trailer is debuting this Friday with Ocean’s 13, so hopefully it delivers something to get excited about.
