Here’s the second trailer for D.J. Caruso’s “I am Number Four”, which still looks like a big-budget SyFy Channel movie to me, but then again, maybe I just don’t appreciate star Alex Pettyfer’s hunkiness. Though I certainly have no problems appreciating Diana Agron and Teresa Palmer’s hotness, and anything with Timothy Olyphant is a pretty worthwhile watch, along with Kevin Durant doing his Terminator stalking bit that he no doubt sharpened after “Legion”. I just wish there was more “Wow” stuff in the trailer, but maybe they’re saving them for later.
Extraordinary teen John Smith (Pettyfer) is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events-his first love (Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.
Starring Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, Callan McAuliffe, Jake Abel, and directed by DJ. Caruso.
Number four hopes to be number one at the box office February 18, 2011.
