IFC Films Wants a Piece of Nazi Zombies aka Dead Snow
Dead Snow (2009) Movie, Horror Movie News — By Nix on January 21, 2009
Fans of Nazi zombies rejoice, because IFC Films has just snapped up U.S. rights to the Norwegian zombie flick “Dead Snow” during the movie’s run at the Sundance Film Festival. And you thought Sundance was only good for getting the film snobs out of town! For shame, for shame. Written and directed by Tommy Wirkola (with Stig Frode Henriksen), the horror-comedy follows eight medical students who run across Nazi zombies during a ski vacation in the mountains. Don’t you just hate it when that happens?
The film already opened January 9th in its native Norway, and stars Charlotte Frogner, Ørjan Gamst, Stig Frode Henriksen, Vegar Hoel, and Jeppe Laursen. Yeah, never heard of any one of them, either. Anyways, onward. IFC Films has yet to announced any theatrical release dates for the film, or if they’re looking at a DVD push after a limited run in theaters, which seems more likely.
More images from the only Norwegian movie we’ve been interested in, well, ever:
