IMDB.com’s Top 10 Movies of All Time

Did you ever wonder what your fellow movie lovers considered the Top 10 movies of all time? One of IMDB.com’s invaluable resources is that it allows everyone from around the world to vote for their favorite movies, which, you’ll agree, results in a much more thorough selection than if it was a list as picked by some stuffy suits at a film institution or college campus. Of the Top 10 movies on the list, there is only one non-English language film (Akira Kurosawa’s “The Seven Samurai”), and a whopping two non-English language films in the entire Top 25 (Brazil’s “City of God” is the other).

Here’s the Top 10 Movies of All Time as voted on by your average IMDB.com user:

1. The Godfather (1972)
2. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
3. The Godfather: Part II (1974)
4. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (1966)
5. Pulp Fiction (1994)
6. Schindler’s List (1993)
7. Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
8. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)
9. Casablanca (1942)
10. Shichinin no samurai (1954)
