Impossibly Stylish Teaser for Director Suki Singh’s Emulsion

I’m still incredibly wet behind the ears when it comes to the fascinating world of cinematic noir, and I still have so much to learn about the genre. Regardless of my self-proclaimed ignorance on the subject, I know what I like, and I really like the cryptically stylish new teaser for writer/director Suki Singh’s forthcoming noir “Emulsion”. The story itself may sound pedestrian — a man searches endlessly for his missing wife — but Singh’s execution of the material certainly sets the film apart from other like-minded endeavors. I’m getting a strong David Lynch meets Christopher Nolan vibe from the embedded trailer, though that just might be me jumping to conclusions based on a clip that’s barely a minute long. Instead of pontificating further, I’ll let you be the judge.

Thanks to Quiet Earth for showing me the way.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)
