It’s almost Summer, so you know what that means — another “Call of Duty” title gets ready to blow your senses and steal your hard-earned (or for you kids out there, your parent’s hard-earned) money. Since it’s 2013, and Treyarch released “Black Ops 2” in 2012, that means it’s Infinity Ward’s turn to cash in.
Instead of giving the world “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4”, the game developer has instead introduced a title without the “Modern Warfare” moniker — “Call of Duty: Ghosts”. Fans of “Modern Warfare” will recall that there was a character called Ghost who bit the dust in “Modern Warfare 2”. Which sucked, because with the whole ghost mask and all, Ghost was pretty damn cool, essentially becoming the Boba Fett of the “COD” franchise.
I don’t know for sure if “Call of Duty: Ghosts” picks up that Ghost’s story, but it sure looks like it.
Check out the teaser trailer for “COD: Ghosts”, titled “Masked Warriors” below. The official, full trailer is scheduled to premiere this May 21st.
As for when you can get your greedy little hands on “Ghosts”, that would be around November, as per the pattern the last few years for “Call of Duty” title releases.
