Insane Trailer for Dean Francis’ Australian Horror Outing Road Train

When someone asks me which country is at the top of the horror heap, I generally point towards France, then to England. If this nosy individual continues to press the issue, I usually give a quick nod to New Zealand and Australia, both of which deliver engaging, intelligent fare on a consistent basis. Australian Director Dean Francis looks to up the ante with his 2010 genre flick “Road Train”, which takes the concept of a trucker terrorizing twenty-somethings to lofty new heights. The trailer embedded below is certainly eye-catching, and is shaping up to be one of the better offerings of the new year. Sure, the premise is a little tired, but it appears that Francis is dedicated to giving this snappy little production plenty of blood-soaked twists. What are you waiting for? Check out the clip below.

Author: Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

I didn’t know any of the stars other than Xavier, but the intensity level doesn’t end in this flick. A demon truck that kills people? I mean… who else can honestly make up this kind of stuff? Dean Francis is on the road to becoming an Australian Wes Craven.

This movie looks pretty interesting, I wonder if its comparable to Joyride? I'm definitely adding it to my netflix que for when it is released on DVD.
