Intense New Poster for Marc Forster’s Machine Gun Preacher

Gerald Butler always looks like he could kick your ass. Even when he hasn’t been working out and his cheeks are a little pudgy, the guy could beat you to a pulp without burning a single calorie. The latest poster for Marc Forster’s “Machine Gun Preacher” intimidates me. Seriously — I feel sorry for the person who’s foolishly endangering the life of that poor little kid, because Gerard Butler doesn’t look like he’s messing around. At all. That’s pretty intense.

Curious about the plot? Me, too. Here’s what it’s about:

‘Machine Gun Preacher’ tells the story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing biker tough guy who found God and became a crusader for hundreds of Sudanese children who’ve been forced to become soldiers.

Gerard Butler saves some kids in the US on September 23rd, 2011. But only a few, mind you, as the film is opening in limited release. The UK, meanwhile, will get the flick on November 18th, 2011.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided.
