Intriguing Teaser for the Post-Potter Daniel Radcliffe Flick The Woman in Black

I’m sure Daniel Radcliffe is tired of people associating him with Harry Potter, and I apologize profusely for including that tired and extremely cliche reference in the headline. What’s interesting about the teaser trailer for the upcoming Hammer Films outing “The Woman in Black” is that I never once associated Radcliffe with the boy wizard. Not once. He appears ready and willing to move forward, and I’m anxious to see how this one plays out.

Before continuing, please reference the following synopsis:

A young lawyer (Radcliffe) travels to a remote village to organize a recently deceased client’s papers, where he discovers the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance.

“The Woman in Black” should scare up some business in the UK on October 28th, 2011. As always, the aforementioned clip lies below.

This ounds and look very interesting. Good for Radcliffe. Grint’s been doing his thing too, but his stuff is more modern.

This is one of my favourite novella’s written with a typical English horror flair, young pale woman, isolated house, creepy village folk. A very atmospheric and disquiet tale that did frighten me and left a deep impression. I never felt that the play did Hill’s tale justice, and look from the trailer it already seems like this movie version has a good chance of actually being frightening. Can’t wait!
