Thats definitely the real monster as seen on screen. But what a disappointment that entire movie was.

  • mike says:

The whole point is to not know anything about the creature. King Kong everyone knew where it came from, Godzilla everyone knew how it was created, Cloverfield is supposed to show what it would be like from the prospective of the random innocent bystander when the crap hits the fan.

    whoooaaaaaaa!!!! it’s cool! haha
I still have yet to see the movie. hahaha
I now know what it looks like, and, thanks for the motion sickness tips……I don’t get it, but some of my friends do, and, yeah. lol….

The small creatures were not his off-spring or anything like the big one.

He actually scratched his back on a building and a bunch flew off.

The were like fleas to him.

I think this creature looks weird man.I looks like Godzilla&King Kong had a baby. Some sort of Dino Monkey Spider thing.Anyway the movie was Awesome.I saw it yesturday.I wish it was alittle longer&I would have like to seen more scenes with those spiders like parasites. But its a good movie worth the admitions price.

Have any body seen THe Host? This is a big spin on it but the same none the less. Look it up. It’s a fun movie. The Host.

  • mdfgrifter says:

the Host and Cloverfield are two very different movies man! I thought the Host was a very good show which show cased a family of squabbling misfits who inevitably bonded together in times of crisis to confront the monster. You can actually feel for the characters and their desperate attempts to find the young girl. there was some light humour in between, and emotional bits too. the monster wasn’t so much the Host, but the govt which was blatently lying and seizing materialistic opportunities from the creature’s appearance. there’s slight criticism of foreigners interfering with local issues.

Cloverfield on the other hand, was like a Godzilla movie with a Blair Witch camera man. no story whatsoever, just running and running. The cinema goers were laughing at many parts, like when the impaled girlfriend came back to life, and when the emopunk girl exploded into a bloody mess. towards the end, pple were laughing at the bug-eyed monster and cheering it when it devoured the irritating cameraman. seriously lame show, and the monster appeared to look so different in many parts of the show, I didn’t know if it was one or many monsters attcking the city. my friend said they needed power rangers or ultraman to pop up to complete the comedy.

    Folks,

As I have posted on other sites, the Cloverfield monster is a Kraken.
You will find that out shortly.
It has 8 limbs. 2 tail-like things that are actually tentacles, 2 large hind legs, 2 smaller rubbery arms that hang by it’s waist, and the 2 very large arms.

On it’s head, it even has the pulsing, breathing appendages that you can find on octopi.

I’m telling you, this is a new age Kraken.

    Remember where you heard it.

when i saw this movie, i left the movie theater confused. the story line way slightly wack, but the monster was great. I did not see any more limbs than 4 (2 big legs and 2 smaller arms) but that could just be me. I swear i have seen the face of the creature in another movie i.e the demon dog thing from hellboy.
