Introducing Zack Snyder’s All-Girl Cast for Sucker Punch

I’m still not entirely sure how “Sucker Punch” will pan out, but it sure isn’t going to be lacking in girl power, that’s for sure. THR reports that Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone are getting ready to fill out the film’s all-girl cast, with Seyfriend taking the leading role in a film that Zack Snyder has described as “‘Alice in Wonderland’ with machine guns”.

Here’s more on the plot from The Hollywood Reporter:

Set in the 1950s, “Punch” follows a girl who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.

THR says Seyfried (above, left) will play the lead, a girl name Babydoll, while Seyfried will play a fellow inmate, along with Hudgens (below) as Blondie, Cornish as Sweet Pea, Wood as Rocket and Stone as Amber. All the girls apparently travel along with Babydoll to her weird alternate reality.

I still have no idea how Snyder is going to pull this off unless he’s going the “Brazil” route, minus the red tape and a lot of slow motion. Like, really a lot. Zack Snyder likes his slow motion.
