Invisible Weaponry is Serious Business in James Cullen Bressack’s Unmimely Demise

According to the official press release, there will be other short motion pictures hanging out inside the upcoming horror anthology “Theater of the Deranged II”. And while that’s all fine and dandy, all I really care about at this point is seeing “My Pure Joy” director James Cullen Bressack’s “Unmimely Demise”. It’s a slasher flick, one that’s centered around a murderous mime who uses invisible weapons to take down his prey. That’s right: INVISIBLE WEAPONS. It’s a damn shame this is just a short, as I’d love to see an entire full-length feature centered around this concept. I’m kind of surprised nobody’s tackled this sort of concept before.

Check out the official synopsis:

After 10 years, Cheeky the Mime returns reaping havoc on anyone in his path. Armed with an arsenal of invisible weapons, it is up to a meek friend from Cheeky’s past to stop him!

Although there’s a nifty little trailer embedded just beneath this passage, you really shouldn’t need to know anything beyond the arsenal of invisible weapons. “Unmimely Demise” stars Alexei Ryan, Randy Fratkin, Jody Barton, and Sophie Dee, the latter of whom is some sort of adult film sensation. These days, who isn’t an adult film sensation?

This looks awful! And definitely not an original idea like the article suggests. I saw a movie called “Dumbshow” (they have an imdb page for it but it doesn’t have any pics) at the LA Film+Music Weekend last year that kicked ass! Actually had some bitchin FX and cinematography not like whatever this homemade junk is.

There actually was another movie (also a short) that not only did invisible weapons, but also had the same premise. It’s called DumbShow. I think it played at a few festivals. There’s also that part in Freddy 4, though I guess that’s sort of the opposite (visible weapon on an invisible guy).
