Is Cloverfield Really … Colossus?
Cloverfield (2008) Movie — By Nix on July 27, 2007
J.J. Abrams was at Comic Con, but still refused to divulge the title of his “Cloverfield” movie. At this point, you gotta wonder if ol Abrams is being too cute by a half with the whole title deal, but as long as Internet movie geeks clamor to find out, I guess he’s just giving everyone what they want — us geeks get to talk endless about it, and Abrams gets the free publicity his moderately budgeted (at least by Hollywood standards) monster movie needs. But apparently some people MAY have figured out the title (and of course, I stress the word “may”). Here’s Moviehole by way of AICN with the possible title of “Cloverfield”…
Harry at Aint it Cool News MAY have worked out the title of the movie though. Here’s his interpretation : “I had a bit of a Eureka moment with a spy revealing that the below MONSTROUS poster is the first of 3 teaser posters that will lead to the TITLE reveal poster. First we’ll have “MONSTROUS” – next we will have “BARBAROUS” – then we will have “FEROCIOUS” – To me – these phrases are not even spoilers – but if you’re like me – if MONSTROUS is a headless Statue of Liberty – what images go with BARBAROUS and FEROCIOUS? — The title? Well, I don’t want to spoil it, so you should go ask, Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin!”
He’s referring, of course, to “˜Colossus’.
So is “Cloverfield’s” real title really… “Colossus”?
Maybe, maybe not.
In any case, Abrams better watch out before his movie becomes “Snakes on a Plane 2″, where the “game” behind the movie was more fun than the ACTUAL movie.

If i am the first to discover this…PLEASE gimme credit!!!!
