Is John Dowdle’s Devil Already Headed to DVD and Blu-ray?

According to the folks at Video ETA, the M. Night Shyamalan-produced thriller “Devil” is scheduled to arrive on North American DVD and Blu-ray on December 21st, which is just in time for everyone to purchase the film for Christmas. Isn’t that impossibly convenient? The film, which finds a group of people trapped inside an elevator while horrifying shenanigans erupt all around them, made a decent sum of money at the box office, but apparently the studios want to squeeze every last cent out of the production by getting into the hands of hungry holidays shoppers before the 25th of December.

No special features have been announced at the time of this writing, but I’m sure more details will rise to the surface as the date closes in. Thanks to STYD for bringing this information to my attention.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

This was actually a decent movie, I didn’t like the ending but the movie actually wasn’t bad.
