According to Variety’s Justin Kroll, who tweeted the news, that’s an affirmative.
Rough news for those LOGAN’S RUN fans, I can confirm Ryan Gosling is no longer attached to the project

(You gotta wonder if Kroll’s boss likes the fact that he’s giving away all these news for free when they could have been getting hits with it on their website…)
In any case, Gosling was always kind of an odd choice for “Logan’s Run” to me. Sure, he’s done action before, and his “Drive” BFF Nicholas Winding Refn has officially signed on to helm the remake, but still, slotting Gosling as the lead seems perfunctory and not really inspired casting in my very humble opinion. Your mileage may vary, though.
Heck, I wouldn’t be surprise if Refn ended up bailing on this remake, too. It’s been a while since he signed on along with Gosling, and nothing has come of it yet. In fact, Refn seems more interested in doing other projects — basically, anything but starting work on “Logan’s Run”.
We shall see how this plays out.
