Batman’s got new villains, new love interests, and even new allies in “The Dark Knight Rises”, so why not a new Batcave, too? That’s the word on the street (and by street I mean the Interwebs) about Batman’s new digs, which may or may not be using a place called the Turda Salt Mines in Romania (pictured below) as a stand-in.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW
According to another Batman site called DarkKnightRisesRumors (which is, well, all about “The Dark Knight Rises” rumors), there is a good possibility the Turda Salt Mines will be combined with a new interior Batcave set currently being built to show off Batman’s new homestead in-between all the crimefighting and saving Gotham City and such.
Of course all of these could just be rumors that don’t pan out, but it sure would be cool if this is what Batman will be walking through when next we see him in “The Dark Knight Rises” from Christopher Nolan in 2012. What we can be sure of is that Christian Bale is back as Batman, along with Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine. They will be joined by new faces Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Marion Cotillard.
