Is This What Captain America’s New Suit Will Look Like in The Winter Soldier?

If this ends up being true and not just some fan art, that is.

Anyhoo. The boys at CBM says they’ve been sent a new concept artwork for Marvel’s upcoming “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” that reveals what Captain America’s new spangled suit will look like in the upcoming sequel.

Here it is:

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) Movie Concept Artwork

The boys point to this comic book panel from the “Captain America” comics, which looks very much like the pic above. Does that mean the good Captain will be packing a piece? (As you’ll recall, he wielded a machinegun in “The Avengers”, albeit he picked one up on the fly.)

The new concept art certainly looks like the previous ones we saw for “The Avengers”, but who knows if this is actually for real. You can never tell these days with the Interwebs. Lots of really talented artists out there.

I know most people didn’t dig the Cap’s suit in “The Avengers”, but I kinda liked it myself:

“The Winter Soldier” stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Robert Redford, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Cobie Smulders, and returns this April 4, 2014.

I’ve always wanted to see the scale armor in real life. I guess that’ll never happen. His suit in the First Avenger was great and looked practical. In The Avengers it seemed too bright I bet loud. This new suit looks tight though. Stars n stripes!

Looks like they wanted to get that Military feel in this one.. And i like it, for the film that they “should” be making, that costume is pretty appropriate, so that’s a really good start, i like the visual side of Cap character, so don’t screw up the rest of him.

I liked the way they updated the look of the classic costume for the movie. It was one part classic, one part ultimate. This new suit is pretty much what he wore when he took over as head of SHIELD and became the Marvel Universe’s top cop, and in his own series Captain America: Super Soldier. Currently Nick Fury Jr (White nick Fury’s black son who looks like the Sam L Jackson version but younger) is rocking the uniform. I always liked it myself as it looked like a SHIELD uniform but personalized for Cap.

I didn’t liked the costume from Captin America: The First Avenger. I mean, the one he uses for the second (weakest) part of the movie. The one he was using when he saved his friends, the one with leather jacket was pretty cool. But I understeand they had to put him in a propper suit. Especially when I learned that was just going to be the costume he used in the 40′s.
When I saw the costume from the Avengers movie: Wow! Now it was the Cap I used to know. A bit different from the comic version, but perfect for the big screen.

I don’t think it was a necessary thing to change it again.

I kinda like the Captain’s suit in Avengers too. This new one also looks cool, but I think they should have saved the color design for a future Cap movie.

I totally digg the CPT American suit from the first movie, although I never disliked the suit in the Avengers, I never thought it was a bad suit.
