20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for “Cloverfield” and “Let Me In” director Matt Reeves’ “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”, the sequel to “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. And it’s as intense as you might expect in a movie where humanity is becoming an endangered species, and giant, smart apes are running around trying to bash our brains in. Check out the first trailer below, and you’ll probably never look at those apes in your city’s zoo the same way ever again.
Anyone ready for a little ape vs. human war action? I know I am!
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
Starring Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano, and Kirk Acevedo.
Go ape next year, July 11, 2014.
