Neither actor is known for his impeccable English (although their English is a million times better than my Chinese). If you sort through the awkward grammar and word usage, the statements could just have easily been... JC, "I'm concerned that the presence of myself and JL in a film together will be overhyped as it is, so I'd rather not contribute to the affect. Overhyped movies always seem to disappoint, no matter how good the film really is." JL, "I hope that Western audiences will attend wanting to watch a movie about a Chinese legend, and not just for the fight scenes between JC and myself. There is a lot to enjoy in this movie, besides the phenomenal kung fu choreography." Just a thought, or this movie could really suck. I don’t know about that, it does seem a bit lost in translation.
